Being a millionaire is very tough sometimes, especially when they have to switch the means of transport, such as planes and cars. It is quite unpleasant to get off from a plane and then start driving a car. This is a tiring to do. Well, there is a person who was kind enough to find a solution to the billionaires` comfort-related problems. His name is Phillip Pauley and he is a concept designer who released the Halo Intersceptor, which is a futuristic study for a car that can be transformed into a plane, a helicopter and why not, a boat.
With amazing gullwing doors, a Bugatti Veyron rear end, a front very similar to Aptera`s three-wheel electric car, the model offers its future driver, who is undoubtedly a millionaire, a flight of fancy with a 0 to 62 mph time in just 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 500 km/h.
The essential piece is the Halo attachment, which is strapped on the Intersceptor`s body, allow it to be a jet, a four-seat helicopter or a 11 m power boat which reaches a top speed of 63 knots (117 km/h).
As impressive as it may seem, this idea is not original, though, because Moulton Taylor, an engineer designed and built a “roadable craft”, which was called the Aerocar. He built 6 such units.
