Rossin-Bertin Vorax is the new BMW Supercar in Brazil

The Rossin-Bertin Vorax is Brazil’s newest car and it is scheduled to make its spectacular debut at the Sao Paulo Show, which is about to take place soon, this month. Carbon fiber makes up the body, an impressive look completed by an aluminum chassis. Producers boast about its 1,300 kg incredible weight and about the fact that it will receive power from the same 5.0-liter V10 from the BMW M5.
The virtual tests revealed an "entry level" of 570 hp, which was desired for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8seconds and able to reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
Then the supercharged variant was available with 3.6 seconds necessary to achieve 100 km/h and with a top speed of 372 km/h.
Two men developed this project and they are Fharys Rossin, CEO and designer, a 37-year-old ex-GM designer, and Natalino Bertin Jr, a 29-year-old car fan and heir to the Bertin Group of slaughterhouses.
Rossin’s biggest wish was to build a supercar that would be able to compete with models such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, a goal that is not so easy to achieve.
The production of this Vorax coupe is planned to begin in Blumenau, Brazil, beginning with late 2011 or early 2012. While a convertible will complete the picture twelve months later, its price will be $409,836.
