BMW fuel pump malfunction leads to 132000 vehicle recalls

BMW decided to recall 132,000 vehicles wich have the ix-cylinder twin-turbo engines to repair the malfunction at the high pressure fuel pump.

This recall covers the following models:2007-2010 335i, 2008-2010 15i, 535i, the X6 xDrive35i and the 2009-2010 Z4 sDrive35i.

Almost 40,000 BMW vehicles will need a new fuel pump, while the other will be fixed at the authorized dealer services.

The problem at the fuel pump causes laque of performance, cracking engine starts and, depending on the cases, the "Service Engine Soon" indicator will light up.

Along with these models, about 20,800 2008 BMW X5's will be recalled to get a new low-pressure fuel pump.
