On October 28th, 2010, the Bugatti Veyron received its official launching in New Delhi, India, without any worries about the 110% tax, one that raises the car’s cost to no more than $3.6 million, making it the most expensive car in this country. This price has taken the place of the Mercedes Maybach, which cost $1.3 million.
As regarding deliveries, these are to last from six to eight months after the orders have been made. According to Guy Caquelin, who is Bugatti’s marketing manager for the Middle East, Europe and, of course, India, there are no registered sales estimates so far.
The official dealer appointed by Bugatti is now Exclusive Motors, which, for those who don’t know, is the only distributor for Bentley and Lamborghini in India and there are sources from the inside pointing to the idea that a Bugatti Veyron has already found an owner and another two are on their way to reach a new owner later this year, who appears to be a business tycoon in souther India.
The head of Exclusive Motors, Satya Bagla is aware of the people’s increased spending power and the fact that they have just learnt to appreciate and recognize the beautiful things, becoming ready to show their properties which, in turn, make an appeal to their wealth. This was a great opportunity for Bugatti veyron to appear in the picture.
