Renault extends the Gordini lineup with the new Twingo

Using the Gordini nameplate for the styled-up and better equipped models turned out to be a smart decision taken by the French producers from Renault, showing great success among its buyers, despite some voices which did not agree with this.
The Twingo Gordini was built in order to continue and even expand this success, a car model which aims to replace the GT variant, offering its potential customers the possibility to choose between two engines, a 1.2-liter TCe turbocharged gasoline one, which delivers no more than 100 hp and a 1.4-liter dCi turbo diesel which develops 85 hp.
They also can choose between three available colors, starting with a Malte Blue metallic, then Pearlescent Black and Glacier White, while the exterior shows off specific front and rear bumpers, special badges and 15-inch alloy wheels.
The interior ensures a real driving pleasure by its special blue and black leather, sports eats, aluminum pedals and a dark-charcoal leather-trimmed dashboard with some visible stitching.
According to Renault officials, the Twingo Gordini is going to be launched on the European markets and order books for the 100 hp version have already begun in France, featuring a starting price of 14,800.
