Lamborghini LP700 4 Speculations

Lamborghini's LP700-4 is what appears to be the long-awaited replacement for Murcielago. It has been speculated that the new model's name was going to be Jota but apparently it won't stick. However, other interesting assumptions have arisen on the web.

The spy shots reveal that LP700-4 will continue to have Lamborghini's trademark doors. What also appears to be correct is that the engine of the new model is a 6.5-liter V12 rolling on 700 hp, with a 680 Nm of torque at 550 rpm, reaching the maximum speed at 8250 rpm and being fitted with a 7-speed transmission.

According to the manufacturer, Lamborghini LP700-4 is going to be 70% more rigid than Murcielago and 200 kg lighter. According to the leaked speculations, the replacement will have a carbon fiber chassis and an F1-like suspension.

The specs also suggest that the supercar is going to be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. The price remains unknown, but what is known is that Lamborghini is to be launched at the Geneva Autoshow in 2011.
