The upcoming 2012 Porsche was spy photographed and these spy shots seem to be the best, showing two coupe prototypes undisguised, although, as you all may know, this stage of the development process is likely to be hiding under false body panels. However, a retractable sunroof opening can be spotted at the second prototype, while we can also notice a sharper look at the new rear end design, especially the frame that is placed between the taillights. The next 911 will be powered by an updated 3.6-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, delivering 365 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, available for the entry-level powerplant, while the Carrera S model will feature an output of 415 bhp and 440 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the fuel economy and the CO2 emissions will be provided to the new model by using a stop/start system and a regenerative braking economy standard technology.
Regarding the transmissions, these will feature a choice of the seven-speed PDK sequential double-clutch gearbox or drivers can also choose the six-speed manual gearbox.
