Possible New Name for Lamborghini Murcielago Replacement

The car previously referred to as Jota (based solely on speculation), Lamborghini's new replacement for Murcielago, is apparently receiving a new name. After having denied that Jota is going to be the new name for the prototypes spied over the last few months, it seems that the new name is going to be "Aventador", according to Jalopnik.com.

Although this is solely a rumor/speculation as well, it appears that Lamborghini has filed a claim with the U.S. trademark office for the name "Aventador".

Now, getting to the technical information, we could probably mention that the hood hosts a 6.5 liter V12 with 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, on a 7-speed single clutch gearbox. The car is to reach 100 km/h from 0 in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h.

The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque and it features an F1-influenced read suspension.
