Kia, one of the fastest growing brands in Europe, has recently received the honorable Life Cycle Assessment from Germany’s TUV NORD organization, also known as the LCA, for two of its models, The Soul and Venga, thus proving its continuous efforts to impress the car market. The models emit 9.3 percent and 10.5 percent less CO2 emissions as compared to the current models on an estimated distance of 150,000 km. The South Korean manufacturer said in a statement that the Gwangiu Plant in Korea, where the Soul is built, and Slovakia Plant, where experienced engineers produce the Venga, also obtained ISO 1400l environmental certification in 2003 and 2009, respectively, and these latest LCA certificates reconfirm the production facilities regarding the environmental-friendly base feature of the car models. This certification places Kia next to important manufacturers such as Daimler and Volkswagen, thus enforcing the eco-features of the models.
