BMW X1 tries out M Sport Package

The German automaker BMW has been developing M-Packages for years now and the model which have received such upgrades are the latest 5-Series sedan and Touring, the X3 SUV, now followed by the BMW’s smallest crossover model, the X1. The X1 model was launched on the European markets in March 2010, but the U.S. markets are scheduled to get it later in 2011. The list of upgrades available for the X1 will integrate unique styling cues inside and out, larger alloy wheel designs, sports tuned suspension. In the gallery below, you will see some spy photos taken by a talented photograph, which reveal the prototype models in Germany with most of the aero parts covered in BMW’s traditional swoopy wrap, appearing to be fitted with normal alloys, but buyers will be offered a choice of special wheel designs. They include the modified front and rear bumpers, as well as the new side skirts. It is likely that BMW engineers will use unique trim and upholstery for the sports seats, gearbox knob and pedals, an M-Sport-sourced steering wheel together with a handbrake lever. Furthermore, the M Sport Package is expected to be on BMW’s option list at the beginning of the next year.
