Dacia Logan features a 2.8-liter Volkswagen VR6 engine

The Romanian brand, Dacia, seems to have become very appreciated by the Top Gear host, James May, as many European customers do, too, because they consider it affordable, offering driving fun and performance at the same time.
The Romanian brand enjoys celebrity after its latest car, the Duster was nominated for the 2011 COTY award, even though most of the specialists do not consider the brand models as exciting, especially when it comes to speak about its small displacement petrol and diesel engines.
Every problem has a solution if one knows where to look for it ot how to look for it. James May ditched the Logan sedan’s four-cylinder engine and transform it into a 2.8-liter VR6 Volkswagen engine, without providing exact information regarding the build, but it is now sure that we are talking about an ongoing project. Some other upgrades integrate the suspension and brake system, while the powerplant delivers 174 hp connected to a VW transmission.
