Chrysler confirms the 2013 Dodge Viper

Rumors about the new generation of Dodge Viper have appeared since the car rolled off the assembly line in July and some months later the idea of a possible successor appeared, suggesting an "Alfa Romeo8C Competizione with a Viper face". Some car enthusiasts went even to say that Alfa’s platform could be the base of the Viper.
But officials from Chrysler announced for the next summer the 2013 My Viper and they were very firm to say that the vehicle would not be based on Alfa’s supercar. Ralph Gilles, the Dodge CEO claimed that any similarities with the Alfa would be purely accidental, as the two cars featured proportions which seem to be very rare nowadays. However, according to Mr. Gilles, no part of the care remained untouched, showing a car accessible to more people.
The previous generation was perceived as an unforgiving beast, having a great appeal and drivable.
Dodge’s intentions to dilute the sports car’s character remain unknown for the moment; car fans can only hope that Chrysler will be able to maintain a fine balance between the ingredients.
