Renault Fluence EV tests the Chinese market

Next year the Chinese market is planned to receive a number of Renault Fluence EV, an action taken by the French producers in order to build a possible future into the Asian electric car market. Chen Guozhang, officially stated that a large number of Fluence EVs couldnít be delivered yet because the infrastructure was still lacking some important elements.
The Chinese customers have ordered a total of 200 Fluence EVs, following the automakerís car release at the 2010 Paris Auto Show and the decision of shipping five models to China as test drive vehicles for next year, has already been taken. Chen also added that they would hold a meeting in order to outline plans for future EV development, which is based on the Fluence ZE concept, as the production of zero-emission vehicles is one objective of Renault, thus meeting the needs of all types of customers.
The possibility of charging the all-electric car can vary from using a standard charge that takes between four and eight hours, a quick-20minutes charge to an immediate solution in the form of the "Quickdrop" rapid battery exchange system. A 95 HP, 70kW electric motor provides power to the vehicle by a set of lithium-ion batteries that ensure the saloon with 100 miles of driving range. The coming years are planned to bring the car to a point where it represents the leading brand of hybrid and electric vehicles and they also wish set up jobs, increase exports, reduce the urban pollution and also decrease the dependence on oil.
