Alfa Romeo shows concept designer bags inspired by MiTO

Although some of you may think that Alfa Romeo is losing site of its core values, think again, because two concept designer bags have recently been unveiled by the firm's UK division, available for its MiTO subcompact in order to celebrate the company's centenary year and willing to provide an important support for young British talent. Maybe it would have been more appropriate for the company to help young British designers, but we may be wrong in this issue. A special competition was held by Alfa Romeo UK for the creation of the bags and for students from the MA Fashion course at central Saint Martins College, London. 15 graduates submitted sketches inspired by the MiTO for initial consideration and only two of them made the cut. In an official statement released to the press, Alfa Romeo UK stated that the bags created by CSM students William Hendry and Tamara Elliot were chosen for the limited run after being judged by some leading persons in British fashion. The Italian firm representatives announced that the two bags were prototype designs for Alfa Romeo UK, which is now seriously considering producing a limited range of both in the near future.
