As weird as it sounds, Chevrolet came to the 2010 Detroit Auto Show not only with the new Sonic, ment to replace the old Aveo but also with a spectacular Sonic Z-Spec Concept that takes the base car to a new level. Starting from the hatchback series model, the Z-Spec Concept features an extented body kit comprising of front and rear modified spoilers and side skirts that give the car a sportier look. Besides that, the Z - spec received a black coat of paint combined with orange on the BBS alloy wheels, the front grille and the top part of the wing mirrors. Another thing that diferentiates the concept car is the large orange roof wing that gives an even sportier look to the whole car Inside, the car has a two tone combination of black and beige and the same motorcycle style dashboard as the series model. Also, the concept was fitted with leather sport seats that feature the same black and beige combination. As for performance, even if Chevrolet hasn't issued an official statement yet, the labels sitcked just above the side skirts suggest that the prototype has ventilated Brembo brake discs, K&N filters and some type of Borla Sports exhaust system.
