The Detroit Auto Show was host this Tuesday to the unveiling of the latest Kia concept car, the KV7. Still showing the same bulky shapes as the Soul, the KV7 features a rather wide body that stretches 2.03 meters and the same boxy shape that characterized the latest creations of the Korean car manufacturer. Also, the concept car has 20 inch rims and 225/45 tires that help to contribute to the illusion that this car has a much lower stance. Even so, the KV7 was created with the sole idea of changing the perception about the conventional Multi Purpose Vehicles. So the new prototype was fitted with the latest gadgets and technologies available on the market. This includes rear gull-wing doors and a complete lack of the vertical B pillars. Also, the futuristic look of the car is completed by its stretched LED headlights and thin, car wide, tail lamps. Inside, the Korean designers have fitted the KV7 with swiveling seats and all sorts of multimedia systems like a floating table top computer, Wi-Fi connectivity and a very futuristic dashboard. Under the hood, the KV7 has received the same 2.0 liter turbocharged engine as the one found on the new Kia Optima, coupled to a six speed automatic gear box that makes this concept a fully functioning car.
