All-new Audi Q3 SUV hits European Showrooms this fall

After making all possible efforts to keep the Q3 under wraps, the German Carmaker Audi is soon going to launch its smallest SUV offering. Listening to an inside source, we found out that the new Q3 is scheduled to hit the European showrooms this fall, more exactly in September or October, the markets having a major influence upon this aspect. It will be based on the underpinnings of the VW Tiguan, while the style draws heavily on the firm's 2007 Shanghai Motor Show Concept. The inside source further stated that that three powertrains would come along with the new Q3 at launch, the first one would be a 170PS 2.0-liter TFSI mated to a six-speed gearbox and impressive CO2 emissions of 172gr/km. The second powertrain is a 211PS 2.0-liter TFSI connected to an S Tronic transmission and features CO2 emissions of 184 gr/km, while the third powertrain is represented by a 170PS 2.0-liter TDI diesel with CO2 emissions of 158 gr/km and an S Tronic transmission.
With its production planned to take place at the Seat's Martorell plant in Spain, the line will receive further engine options and one of the objectives includes competing against the BMW X1.
