Even it's only mid January, the international car manufacturers continue to amaze us with infos and photos of some stunning new cars and prototypes that will be featured at the Geneva Motor Show. Thatís the case too for the Subaru RWD Coupe Concept, a car that not only looks good but also promises to bring something new in the Japanese's carmaker offer.
Derived from a common Subaru/Toyota platform, the new RWD comes with Subaru's Rear Wheel Drive Sports Car Technology (hence the name), the same as the one found on the Toyota FT-86 RWD Coupe. There are also some rumors about Subaru wanting to create an AWD concept; still, the Japanese car manufacturer is keeping the rear-wheel drive setup, at least for now.
For all it takes, it's quite possible that this concept will host under its bonnet the same boxer engine as the Toyota FT-86 and quite possible share many other common technical elements.
As far as we can see from the two official pictures, the concept will feature a slick and modern design and the latest technologies, like the small cameras that will replace the usual wing mirror. Still, until Geneva many things can change and for now all we can do is wait for the official Swiss Auto Show presentation.
