Saab SportCombi debuts at Geneva Motor Show

The Swedish automaker Saab has recently made an official announcement, revealing that an estate version of the all-new Saab 9-5 series is to make its international debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to take place in March. Saab Automobile CEO Jan Ake Jonsson stated that the 9-5 SportCombi represented an important step in the product offensive, taking Saab into the large wagon segment where a strong presence had been established by Saab in many key markets with previous offerings.
Official photos have not been released to the enthusiast public yet, but they did present some preliminary details on the 9-5 SportCombi, which will be available equipped with many features, such as a flexible U-rail load space configuration, an adaptable multi-fold floor. Furthermore, important features include under-floor stowage with a sealed wet storage compartment, a programmable powered tailgate, as well as 60/40 split rear seatbacks which can be folded down almost completely without forcing the driver or the passengers to reposition the seat squab or remove the head restraints. Adaptive cruise control, Bi-Xenon adaptive lighting, key-less entry and starting, tri-zone air conditioning and a Pilot Head-up Display which allows the projection of information on the windshield will be offered by the car model. The Saab 9-5 SportCombi will hit the U.S. markets in the Fall of 2011.
