BMW Z5: A Futuristic Design Study

After yesterday's Blackbird, today we're introducing a new set of pictures, this time for a new BMW Z5 created by a pair of young Turkish designers.
Ismet Cevik and Fatih Tezel, the authors of this concept haven't stated any technical facts along with these sketches so we can only presume that this is only an independent design study.
Apart from that, in one of the pictures released, we can see a back mounted V8 engine so it's obvious that the designers had in mind the creation of a new BMW supercar.
On the other hand, some of the people that had already seen this project commented on the fact that this Z5 Design Study has no chance of turning into a real car because of all the elements borrowed from other models. For instance, the back looks similar enough to the one of the Porsche 918 Spider, the top transparent engine cover reminds a lot of the one found on the Bugatti Veyron and also the front does bear a bit of resemblance to the Bertone Mantide.
Still, even so, we can say that many of the Z5's elements are borrowed from the BMW Gina Concept car and many others are quite original.
