With a better drag coefficient (only 0.26) and a lighter body then the diesel powered M30d, the new M35h goes a step further in writing the hybrid cars history. Infinity says that the M35h returns a 6.9l/100 km fuel consumption and that it can use its electric engine for more than 50% of all driving time in mixed routes. The new luxury sedan comes equipped with a 306 hp 3.5 liter V6 gasoline engine combined with a 68 hp electric motor, both of them being coupled to the new dual clutch transmission. Also, the car has regenerative brakes a system that further improves the powertrain’s efficiency In electric mode, the M35h can speed up tp 80 km/h and because its very silent, Infinity fitted the car with an Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians system (VSP), that emits a non intrusive sound that draws the attention of the surrounding pedestrians. The new sedan will come to Europe soon after the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, where we will also find out how much will it cost to buy such an eco friendly car.
