Lexus voluntary recall for GS and IS U.S. Models

Lexus, the luxury high end division of Toyota, has issued a voluntary recall for 245,000 cars in the United States, something that could possibly affect the brand's commercial image over the ocean.
It seems that Lexus fears of a possible problem that could cause a fuel leak after discovering in some cars that after some time, a connection between a fuel pressure sensor and a certain fuel line can get a bit loose.
While no accidents have been reported yet on this issue, it seems that Toyota fears of a possible new scandal that could involve the Lexus division and does its best to prevent such an event.
Once in service, the recalled cars will be checked for loose connections between the sensor and the fuel line and according to case the connection will be tightened to the proper torque or the gasket between the fuel sensor and the delivery pipe will be replaced.
As usual with this kind of recalls, all the operations will be made free of any charge.
