Kia releases first interior photo of the new Picanto

With its world premiere scheduled for the upcoming Geneva Salon in March, the new Picanto city car from Kia has recently been revealed, an interesting and eye-catching car model which will be available with a total of four-new engines. Even more important to us, the South Korean automaker presented the first official picture of the interior, specifying that the Picanto will hit the European markets this spring. The individual markets will decide which of the four powertrains to choose for their buyers. Three versions of the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder Kappa engine and a single 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol Kappa unit are included in the range, while the engines will be mated to a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions, strongly depending on the model.
With maximum torque between 94 and 121 Nm, the power outputs will range from 69HP to 85HP, while Kia representatives stated that the bi-fuel 1.0-liter engine was going to generate 82HP and 94 Nm of torque. The new Picanto will feature CO2 ratings from 95 and 105g/km, while its fuel economy will range from 4.2 to 5.9 liters per 100 km. Details concerning pricing and other equipment features will be made public closer to the launch date, but Kia has already announced that LED daytime running lights, button-start with smart key, six or seven airbags will also be available.
