The new Hyundai Genesis R-Spec has been unveiled

Hyundai has just unveiled its latest Genesis R-Spec Sedan that features a mighty 5.0 liter V8 engine rated at 429 hp and 376 pound-feet of torque. A true beast in all its power, this is the biggest engine that Hyundai has ever fitted on a street legal car. Why? Because it's basic Genesis version has "only" a 4.6 liter engine and 385 hp coming out of this V8. Sadly, most of the road tests have shown that the basic Genesis couldn't reach 60 in less than 5.5 seconds and some of the customers arguably have made complaints about the lack of sportiness, something that Hyundai officials were not that happy to hear.
Anyway, back to the new Genesis R-Spec, we should say that each and every of its 429 horse power is mated to a standard 8 speed automatic gearbox that also features a manual shift mode.
And because Hyundai has some experience with powerful cars, the Asian builder has also mounted on the Genesis a unique R-Spec transmission, some suspension upgrades and of course larger brakes. Also the steering has been recalibrated to fit a sportier driving and the alloy rims have been bumped out to a very nice 19 inch.
On the looks side of the issue, the R-Spec features dark chrome headlights inserts and a new badging that takes it apart from the basic version of the car. Also, the Genesis R-Spec will come in Platinum Metallic, Titanium Gray or Black Noir exterior paint with black leather interior as a standard fit.
