New Mazda MX5 anniversary Special Edition

A few days ago we were telling you about Mazda and its 20 years old MX 5 model. Actually, even if the car has passed thru several transformations both on the inside and on the outside, the model retained iti original look and now, Mazda has released a new MX 5 Special Edition that celebrates the two decade long model.
Based on a fully equiped top of the range Grand Touring model, the new MX 5 features a retractable hard top and some 17 inch Bright finish aluminum alloys. Moreover, the car comes equiped with a special suspension package with Bilstein shocks, a limited slip differential (LSD) and a sport type suspension.
And because it is a Special Edition and it has to be recognised as one, the new MX 5 comes in only two colors: Sparkling Black Mica and Dolphin Gray Mica. Moreover, the interior is full of dedicated accesories like the heated leather seats with gray stitching, the gray door trims, the black-leather dessed parking brake and steering wheel both having contrasting gray stitching and also a lot of chromed elements on the air vents and the dashboard.
As for the power plant found behind the hood, we're talking about the same 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine found on the standard car, capable of the same 167 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. Even better, Mazda has chosen mount on the anniversay MX 5 both manual and automated six-speed Sport AT transmissions, so the customers will be able to chose between the thrill of the better controled manual transmission or the comfort of an automated gearbox.
The Special Edition will come to the US customers with a starting price of $30,925 for the manual and $31,525 for the automatic version, that's about $15,000 cheaper then the Australian version that has already gone on sale.
