GM's answer to Nissan Juke is Opel's new Corsa-based small SUV

Aiming to take on the likes of the Nissan Juke together with the forthcoming Fiesta-based CUV, the General Motor's Opel/Vauxhall division is currently working on the proposal in the small crossover segment. These spy shots that have come to our attention reveal what will soon slot into Opel's crossover lineup below the Antara. Despite the heavy camouflage, we believe that there is GM's new compact crossover, which is likely to ride on a modified version which will also be used on the next Corsa, belonging to the upcoming Sonic/Spark's Gamma II platform. Converning its powertrin, we expect the Corsa to integrate a 1.4-liter and even a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline units, together with optional turbo diesel engines. When the Corsa crossover makes its debut, it is expected to feature both front- and all-wheel drive configurations, while the States could see a Buick or Chevrolet version of this is the future, depending on the market, figures and aiming to complement each brand's respective compact offerings.
