De Tomaso lives again

Who or what is De Tomaso? Well, for those who don't know, Alejandro De Tomaso was a former Argentinean racing driver that made its own automotive company. And while in 2004, the company files for bankruptcy, in the '70s and '80s, De Tomaso models like the Pantera were quite appreciated.
Still, Mario Rossignolo, former Fiat executive and actual CEO at Lancia, decided that De Tomaso needs a second chance and bought the company. Now, all the time and money invested under this brand are starting to show their results as De Tomaso has announced the unveiling of a new premium-crossover at the Geneva Motor Show. Moreover, the future DeTomaso car codenamed SLC (Sport Luxury Car) and designed by Pininfarina is said to come as a rival for the new Lexus RX-450h and BMW 5 series GT.
Taking into account the official reports, the SLC will come equipped either with a 550 hp V8 or with a 300 hp V6 both running on gasoline, plus a 250 hp diesel engine, each of them mounted on a full aluminum chassis.
The Italian car manufacturer is planning to build only 3000 units per year and if this first car will receive a good feedback, De Tomaso intends to widen its offer with additional luxury sedan and coupe models.
