What's with these "best kept secrets" of the automotive industry? They never keep for themselves and we always get to see something that officially we're not supposed to. Do we mind? Not in a million years, but still, it's kind of funny.
Now back to the main issue of this news, we have new leaked pictures of the 2012 C Class Coupe. And this time is much more than then we received in the recent Super Bowl commercial when Daimler featured in a couple of frames some of its new models.
Anyway, this entry level two door C Class version is one of the most expected unveilings that we hope to take place this year. We're talking here about the replacement model for both the CLK and the CLC coupes so the new 2012 C Class Coupe will have to go head to head with both BMW 1 and 3 series, even so, Daimler has invested a lot of money and expectations in this model and hopes that the 2012 C Class Coupe will win this tight race thru style and power.
Speaking of which, we should say that the front end of the 2012 Coupe is an exact copy of C Class facelift but the resemblances between the two cars stop here as from the A pillar backwards we have to talk about a brand new car designed with a more rakish roofline and a more dynamic looking rear end.
As for the power plant, we presume we're talking about the same 302 hp V6 gasoline engines found on the other C Class models already on the market.
