2011 Peugeot 3008 hybrid was spotted on the road

Being the first full-on diesel-hybrid vehicle on the market place, the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 is planned to be launched later this year.
A series of spy photographs have come to our attention lately, as they show the 2011 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 while it was undergoing testing in cold weather conditions. The photographers succeeded in taking shots of the interior of the hybrid system button incorporating various drive settings and in getting a shot of the new Hybrid4 badge also. The front wheels of the hybrid are powered by a 2.0-liter HDi diesel engine producing 163 PS and 300 Nm of torque and they are working with a 27 kW electric motor, which raises an output of 100 Nm of constant torque, placed on the rear axle driving the back wheels and thus providing an extremely efficient all-wheel drive system. Nickel metal hydride batteries fitted under the trunk ensure current for the electric motor and they deliver up to 200 Nm of torque. When making a simple calculation we find out that the total output raised by the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 is 200 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque, while its CO2 emissions reach 99 g/km. Furthermore, its fuel economy is going to be 3.8 liters/100 km.
