Back in December, 2010, patent designs of a two-seat, topless Smart model were causing a lot of issues on the Internet. At the present moment, different sources suggest that a concept speedster model is represented in the drawings. Its international debut will take place at the Geneva Motor Show, in March and it is said to receive its power from an electric motor which is rear-mounted and drives the rear wheels. Mercedes-Benz Company, the Smart's parent, has not announced any intentions of releasing a production version of the speedster-like model. The next generation Smart cars, such as the upcoming 5-door variant and the new Fortwo are likely to include key styling cues, such as grille designs together with the headlamp.
