AMR by Aston Martin

The new AMR-One endurance was made public by the Aston Martin.
The LMP1 car travels on a bespoke carbon fiber chassis and get power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter six cylinder engine which develops approximately 540 ghp (403 kW / 548 PS). The power is sent to the back wheels through a transversely-mounted semi-automatic Xtrac racing transmission.
One of the six cars Aston Martin will make will compete in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and two in "selected events". Fernandez (MX), Andy Meyrick (GB) and Harold Primat (CH) will be in the factory team in the 009 car, and Darren Turner (GB), Stefan Mucke (D) and another unknown driver (so far), in the 007 car.
The Aston Martin team will demonstrate in 2011 that even if they are a small team, they are a dedicated one and that they are ready for competition.
