Next year will be the year Honda will introduce an Accord Plug-in Hybrid. So far not a lot of information is revealed, but the car we'll have for sure the plug-in hybrid technology, shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show. What does this mean? Well, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, a 6 kW lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that develops 161 hp (120 kW / 163 PS). Because of this set of connections, the Accord would be able to travel on electricity alone, 10 to 15 miles at speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h). And that is not all. The battery could be recharged in 2 to 2.5 hours with a conventional 120 volt household outlet or 1 to 1.5 hours with 240 volt fast charger. It sounds good.
