Ford announced the local launch of the new Mondeo sedan

The new Ford Mondeo sedan will be launched on the local market, packed with all the latest EcoBoost GTDi engine and PowerShift transmission. In China, the car will be sold starting from $25,849 and all the way to $38,484. There will be eight versions available starting with the 2.0-liter GTDi240 GhiaX and ending with the 2.0-liter MT Core.
The new Mondeo lineup in China though remains the 2.0-liter EcoBoost GTDi, designed to develop 236 hp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 340 Nm at 1900-3500 rpm. When it comes to fuel consumption, this sedan has low appetite, being rated at 7,9l/100km.
The Mondeo received 232 changes or updates to a lot of its components for the 2012 model year. The safety system was also improved, including knee airbag on driver seat, Hill Launch Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, LED daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, rear view camera, blind spot information system and day-night rearview mirrors. Beside all this new features, the new car is also very comfortable.
