Scheduled for launch late next year with a base price of about ?11,000 and targeting the MINI Cooper, Citroen DS3 and the Fiat 500, the 2013 Opel Allegra is expected to be fashionable and fun, as the latest information reveals. The car model is not planned to replace the Agila, which producers want to redesign in 2014 as a low-cost competitor to the Ford Ka and Volkswagen Lupo, the Allegra is slotting beneath the Corsa and internally known as the Junior. According to the AutoExpress source, the car will be similar to a baby Astra GTC, incorporating LED-infused headlights, a contrasting roof and a dramatic front fascia, thus contradicting the initial reports which suggested that the Allegra was going to look like the Trixx concept. While the interior highlights competitive materials as well as a stylish cabin, the engine options are still unknown. However, some rumors say that a 1.0-liter petrol offering a combined fuel consumption of 3.5 L/100 km and CO2 emissions which are less than 100 g/km. Source: Worldcarfans
