2013 is the year Kia will introduce their first electric vehicle. As we know in 2010 the Venga EV concept was launched at the Geneva Motor Show and apparently this electric car will be based on this concept.
Off the record information tell us that the car will have a lithium-ion battery that develops 80 hp (60 kW / 82 PS), will reach a top speed of around 140 km/h and will recharge in six hours with a normal household outlet. In 11,8 seconds runs from 0 to 100 km/h.
Venga EV is part of the ecological vehicles line called EcoDynamics and it has some specific characteristics.
As a caution measure, Kia will build 2000 test vehicles before 2013, the year of the official launch.
