Light BMW M Concept is coming to Tokyo Motor Show

The rumor that BMW is planning to present something completely unique at this year's Tokyo Motor Show, has been discussed on forums and web pages. Featuring an incredible lightweight engineering, the M concept is the company's best offer with a supposedly chassis that will make use of a plethora of exotic materials, thus managing to shave off every last pound, including carbon fiber, thermoplastic, titanium and magnesium. Bad news is that the concept is not planned to enter production and it is going to be a one-off piece, but it does not imply that the technology will not be used by BMW in its production vehicles. The executives from the German company have announced that a big part of the vehicles will be made of carbon fiber joined by other lightweight components, which represents an important step if one wishes to meet the required standards of performance and fuel economy.
