One of the main priorities of the tuning industry is to add more ponies under the hood and this is what the German tuning firm Wimmer RS did with the standard Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sedan. The vehicle is powered by 457HP 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 lump and it is not a slow car. The upgrade of the C63 AMG eight-cylinder engine starts by passing the colorful body wrap, which appears to be optional, anyway. A reconfigured ECU will help nudge output from 457HP and 600 Nm to 601HP and 720 Nm of peak torque, while the package also integrates reworked cylinder heads, a sports camshaft, a down pipe and a new manifold as well as high flow catalytic converters. The modified C63 AMG is now allowed to reach a maximum velocity of 329 km/h as the Wimmer RS removed the electronic speed limiter. As far as the price is concerned, it starts from EUR19,900 or $26,700 for the engine conversion. A completely new set of 19-inch alloy wheels from BBS complete the tune. They appear to be shod in Dunlop tires size 235/35-19 at the front axle and 265/35-19 at the rear with a price that starts from EUR3,600 or $5,050.
