Apparently there were made a lot of complaints about the direction-finding of the Dodge Ram pickup trucks, the 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 included.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has started an investigation in this direction. In 2010, according to NHTSA, Chrysler Group, based on left side outer tie rod ball failures to misalignment, recalled 2008 to 2011 Ram 4500 and 550 trucks. This may not stop here and Chrysler could increase the recall to 2500 and 3500 vehicles. After the investigation maybe the problem will be found and the risk will be eliminated.
Back in September 2009 the Ram 1500 was also recalled to fix a problem regarding the rear axle and 56,611 vehicles were affected.
All issues found will be fixed by the manufacturers for free and in the end the safety measures are always welcome.
