New Subaru XV Concept was teased ahead of 2011 Shanghai Auto Show

Called the XV concept, the brand-new crossover study from Subaru, has recently teased its fans with its first official photo released ahead of the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, planned to take place in China from April 21 through 28. The company's representatives only stated that the XV was a stylish proposal for the crossover model, without releasing any more details on the concept. The press release from the Japanese company spoke about the Subaru XV Concept as being a design concept car that managed to define a new generation of crossover vehicle and blending an exceptional SUV practicality featuring a fashionable form. It aims to reach those customers who are looking for a car that offers benefits, looks and packaging that go far beyond the populated crowd of already existing crossover models. We are entitled to think that the thinly disguised concept is a successor to the current Impreza XV, judging by the size, name, shape and the similarities, such as the hood lines and A-column, to the 2012 Impreza Sedan. Integrating beefier wheel arches and thick roof rails, the current Impreza XV represents a high-riding version of the five-door hatchback. Subaru is planning to debut the sedan version of the all-new 2012 Impreza at the new York International Auto Show, scheduled to take place from April 22 to may 1.
