Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR registered a new record

Only a few days ago Kuno Wittmer at the wheel of a Dodge Viper SRT10 American Club Racer (ACR) broke the two-minute mark on the 3.048-mile Outer Course configuration. This is the first time this happens in a production car.
Actually this is one of the records the Dodge Viper ACR is collecting. Like for instance, back in 2009, the Dynamics engineer Chris Winkler in charge with the SRT car, managed to lap the 2.238-mile, Laguna Seca raceway in 1:33:92, beating the previous record. Another record involves Dutch driver Tom Coronel with a 7:22.2 production car record three years ago the 12.9-mile Nurburgring Nordschleife.
The head of Dodge Motorsport Bryan Viger declared he is proud of the new result and of Kuno, who managed to write history and the driver also said it was a pleasure being behind the wheel of such a supercar.
The Dodge Viper ACR has an 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 600 horsepower and 760 Nm and it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds and 0-100 mph in 11 seconds.
