Mercedes-Benz launches 125th anniversary scale merchandise and models

The 125th birthday of Mercedes has been celebrated with the launch of a new collection which offers branded products and special scale models. Over the years, the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer has produced numerous legendary vehicles, which are now available to the firm's enthusiasts, in a range of scale models. Milestones in the company's history were thus celebrated by the 1:43 miniature models, which include the first motor car in history, the 1886 Benz Patent Motor Car, the 1902 Mercedes Simplex, the car which incorporated the necessary components of a modern car, together with the magnificent 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500 K Special Roadster. The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe, the contemporary CLS as well as the 1972 S-Class are the post World War II models included in the collection. The models are available with a metal badge featuring a serial number and a special packaging along with a booklet on the history of the model. The number of these units is limited to only 1,250 and each car model retails for $71.95. Featuring the silhouettes of the Patent Motor Car, the 300SL and the CLS, other anniversary products from the collection include an umbrella, a bag, a silver-plated key ring, a polo shirt, all wearing the "125! Years of innovation" lettering.
