As the AMG, M-sport and Audi RS have increased their engine and in conclusion their performance, Volvo decided to do the same thing with the S60 and XC60 R-Design models. The new engine will develop with 25 horsepower as well as with a 29 lb-ft of torque boost more than their other inline six-cylinder T6 turbocharged engine, so from the initial 300 horsepower, the new engine will develop 325 horsepower. With this increase in power, the two models will be on the good road to success. Also the latest R-Design models will have a new styling and suspension features a little different from the previous versions. By fitting a strut brace under the hood, the car received a stiffer body structure that in the end helped with the steering response. Unfortunately, for the V60 R-Design sport wagon there is no upgraded engine. The price for a Volvo S60 R-Design is $42,275 and for a XC60 R-Design $43,145. Subscribe to Car news by Email |
