Ferrari 458 Challenge starts to compete at the Infineon Raceway

On April 29th the 2011 North American Ferrari Challenge Series begins and here the new Ferrari 458 Challenge will have its premiere.
The Ferrari 430 Challenge will compete together with the new 458 Challenge. To be able to compete in a proud way, the 458 suffered several modifications. The major ones were made to the gear ratios and calibration of its dual-clutch F1 gearbox. Another problem was the weight of the car so the engineers tried to reduce it a little in particular they focused on reducing the thickness of bodyshell panels by using a lot of carbon-fiber and Lexan.
The new Ferrari 458 Challenge rides on 19-inch racing rims on Pirelli racing slicks and it has certain suspension set-up.
It has a new ABS system and a traction control system like the F1-Trac. This model is the first one to have one.
The race at the Infineon Raceway is the first one, but it has a lot to follow. The travel continues to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, CA that will happen in May 20-22; the next one is in Montreal Canada at the Canadian F1 Gran Prix in the second week of June; it will continue with Toronto, Canada in July 8-10, then Lime Rock Park, CT, July 29-30 and in the end, September 23-25, Homestead Miami Speedway, FL.
The vehicle will have a very busy schedule we'll just see how it will work out.
