One-off MINI Mudder is to be unveiled at Life Ball Event

Life Ball event takes place on May 21 in Vienna and represents the Europe's biggest AIDS charity event and this year Mini is willing to keep its tradition, which started in 2011, of revealing a special one-off model. Calvin Klein, Diesel, Donatella Versace and Gianfranco Ferre were famous designers who got their way with the MINI. This year, a designer duo formed by Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten, named DSquared, has received the honor of playing with the MINI desogn. They have already revealed the initial sketches of the MINI Red Mudder, created exclusively for this event. The proceeds from the auction will go to fighting against HIV/AIDS and was described by the two designers as an "absolute MINI must-have for men".
A similar experience with MINI was shared by the two designers in April 2010 when they accomplished the design of a travel gear for the Countryman. The design duo announced in a statement that, if they were a car, it would be rugged and robust, but their MINI red Mudder represented an accurate refelction of that, adding that their unmistakably style was enhanced by the maple leaf on both doors and the DSquared logo on the front shield and wheels. The Red Mudder is based on the MINI Cooper S and integrates a protective gear for the headlights and rear windows, a bull bar as well as rally-inspired supplementary lights. Further details are to be revealed at the Vienna debut.
