Ford Fiesta has a lot of reasons to celebrate

Ford has a lot to celebrate as after only 33 months the first unit rolled off the line. Another reason for the company to celebrate is that 35 years ago the German market had the opportunity to see the first-gen model when it was introduced.
And this is not all. 80 years ago a Ford Model A rolled off the Cologne assembly. As I said there are a lot of reasons of celebration.
Except the event that happened 35 years ago, ever since, in Cologne have been built and sold more than six million in France, Great Britain, Russia and Turkey, and Mozambique, Morocco, Brunei and Tahiti are also markets where the Fiesta shows face.
Fiesta has a lot of success as it's sold at the highest volume and not just in Europe, but around the world.
The current Ford Fiesta, since 2008, is being produced in Germany, but also in China, Thailand and Mexico. The US and Canadian customers can purchase their Fiestas produced in Mexico.
Just for information, the Cologne facility produces more than 1,770 cars / day from the models Ford Fiesta and Ford Fusion. Every year it produces around 400,000 cars and the ones "responsible" for this are 17,300 employees from over 50 countries. Around 4,200 of them work in each of the three production shifts and this is how a great number like 400,000 is possible.
