The price of the 2012 Mercedes CLS for the North American market was revealed today by Mercedes-Benz. This is not all; also today was revealed the price for the top line of the 2012 CLS63 AMG. The 2012 CLS will be available on the US market in three versions: the CLS550, the CLS550 4MATIC and the CLS63 AMG. The CLS550 has a 4.6-liter V8 engine direct-injection twin-turbo that produces 402 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. of torque. If you want to compare, this model offers a 26% improved mileage than the previous version.
The 2012 version features PRE-SAFE, ABS anti-lock brakes with Brake Assist, ESP electronic stability control, traction control and ATTENTION ASSIST. Not all, but a lot of the models also have the Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist systems.
The CLS63 AMG has a 5.5-liter direct-injection V8 engine that produces 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque to the back wheels thanks to a 7-speed multi-clutch technology sport transmission. The model has the opportunity of an increase in power with the AMG Performance package.
The price for the 2012 Mercedes CLS in the US starts at $71,300 for the CLS550 and can even reach $94,900 for the CLS63 AMG.
