Dacia Duster prototype is the one chose by Renault to compete at the 2011 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. When this was decided, at the meeting we found out that the back wing will be big. Anyway, big is not the perfect word to describe the size of it. Huge on the other hand goes better. The first photos were presented by Jean Philippe Dayraut. This guy is the driver that will do all his best to surpass all previous records at the Pikes Peak even this will be his first involvement in something like this. The pictures taken are inside of an aerodynamic tunnel and you can see the huge rear wing and the front splitter. If you take a look at the exterior of the car you can see it seems like an updated Andros Trophy race car. It's obvious the engineers had a lot of work to do trying to keep the same engine layout. Renault Sport Technologies prepared the engine and will be able to produce 850 horsepower. Other information about the model remains a mystery, but on June 5th will be the first test of the car and maybe we'll be able to find out more.
