2012 Chevrolet Sonic was priced from under $15,000

The American auto brand has recently announced the retail price of $14,495 for the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. Its production will help restore 1,000 jobs in the metropolitan Detroit area as the General Motors Orion Assembly Center in Michigan received a $545-million investment in order to begin the production of the Sonic. The car model is planned to hit the markets this fall and it will be available to its customers in two body styles, a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan. The Sonic is equipped with air conditioning, remote keyless entry, power door locks, 15-inch alloy wheels as standard and all these make the standard equipment of the vehicle. When mated to the 1.4-liter Turbo and six-speed manual transmission, the class-leading acceleration of the eye-catching sub-compact boasts an impressive 40 mpg highway. Rick Scheidt, vice president of Chevrolet marketing stated that the Sonic truly represented a safer small car with three more airbags than the nearest competitor, offering at the same time convenience, safety and security of OnStar with Turn-by-Turn navigation on all models. He added that the Sonic shared the spirit of Chevrolets like Corvette as it delivered agile and athletic performance. Sonic was presented to its customers featuring an unexpected level of standard equipment, thus offering the comfort they desired as today's customers have high expectations for small cars. The detailed trim levels for the new Sonic integrate cruise control, power heated side mirrors, heated front seats, fog lamps, connectivity package with a USB port, Bluetooth for select phones and music, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls and six-speaker premium sound system with CD player, XM Radio with three-month trial subscription.
