Cummins will present a special Napier Railton

This year at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Cummins will reveal a recreation of a supercar. The vehicle is actually the original Napier Railton racing car and you will have the great chance of admire it starting July 1st.
The Cummins has a long history with racing cars. Anyway, the model they will present has a 24-liter 12-cylinder gasoline aero engine. It features double overhead camshafts, four valves and two spark plugs per cylinder. It is believed to deliver an incredible 530 bhp at 2,350 rpm.
This model participated at its first race in 1933 having at the wheel John Cobb and also managed to break a circuit lap record of 143,44 mph in 1935 and then another record of 150.6 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats the next year.
