Creating a performance car division is on the "to do list" of the Volvo team. The first model involved will be the C30.
Last year on April 1st, the C30 Polestar was revealed. The Volvo that has compact proportions and an AWD is powered by a 2.5-liter engine that is able to develop 405 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.
The Polestar team actually built a total number of 500 units of C30 hatchbacks for the Scandinavian and World Touring Car Championships. So there is a connection between the two companies.
The price for the model will be somewhere around GBP 50,000 in the United Kingdom, but this price will probably include all options, the all-wheel drive system, and the 2.5-liter twin-turbo engine.
The new improved model sends its power to the road through a Haldex all wheel drive system, but also through two Qualife mechanical differentials. The C30 PCP also features Ohlins shock absorbers and springs for better handling.
The next model on the list will be the S60, for sure.
